Martin Voldřich

say it Vold-rich

Engineering leader. Open source maker.

I've spent over fifteen years building software — from startups to scale-ups, from Prague to London to Singapore.

I lead teams that ship great software. And I still write the code myself.

I believe the best engineering leaders never stop building.

Open Source

Every developer juggles a dozen local services. Routing between them shouldn't require configuring NGINX.

roxy

A lightweight local dev proxy that gives you custom domains and auto HTTPS for localhost. Map your services, start coding — no config files, no overhead.

Enterprise monitoring tools are bloated. Sometimes you just need to know: is it up?

fluxa

Lightweight URL uptime monitoring with a minimal memory footprint. Point it at your URLs, set your thresholds, and get out of the way.

Reading raw JSON in a terminal is painful. Full-featured tools like jq are powerful but overkill when you just want to see the data.

jsonify

A fast CLI tool that formats and colorizes JSON output. Pipe it in, read it, move on.

Experience

From the early Czech internet to leading remote engineering teams across three continents.

2008 – 2010
PHP Fullstack Engineer
Jyxo s.r.o · Prague

Part of the team that rewrote blog.cz — at the time the 3rd largest website in Czech Republic (~500K daily users) — to a scalable architecture. Jyxo was a pioneering Czech tech company building search engines, PPC systems, and infrastructure sold to companies like Seznam.cz.

Beyond Work

When I'm not writing code or leading teams, you'll find me with my hands in dough or in the garden. I bake bread, grow vegetables, and spend weekends wandering with a camera. Photography is how I slow down — mostly street and landscape, always in black and white.
